Talented Teak

Teak is a tropical hardwood that is native to South and South East Asia. It is an extremely hard wood that does not splinter, crack or stain easily, making it a perfect candidate for high-quality, hard-wearing kitchenware.

Teak wood kitchen utensils are more resistant to germs and bacteria growing on the utensils, and have a very high oil content, making them incredibly durable and water resistant. Best of all, thanks to the same smooth finish that makes them comfortable to hold, they are gentle on your pots and pans, and are a fantastic alternative to coated silicone or plastic utensils we usually think of when we think about protecting non-stick cookware.

Each piece in our range of teak wood utensils is carved from a single piece of recycled teak, sourced from off-cuts in furniture production, and supplied in a natural finish without any nasty chemicals, adhesives or toxic coatings. They are also non-reactive, which means they will not transfer the taste to the food like metal utensils.

Our Teak Wood utensils might not be dishwasher-safe but they are user-friendly. The best way to clean your wooden utensils is simply hand washing them in warm soapy water, rinsing them off and drying by hand before storing. We suggest you oiling your Teak Wood Utensils with food-safe mineral oil every few months to protect your utensils and provide a deep richness to the grain of the wood.
